Details

Once the powerful stronghold and center of the Zhentarim, now mostly ruin after destruction in 1383 DR by the Shadovar during the Shadowbane War. The northern districts are lawless havens for pirates and bandits, with the Black Moon Brotherhood active in the ports. The southern districts are dark and haunted by undead, dominated by factions of necromancers and intelligent undead likely freed from sealed crypts. The city is divided by the River Tesh, which is crossed by a once heavily fortified bridge now largely broken. Magical wards and petrification spells once protected gates, but most defenses have fallen into ruin or disrepair. The destroyed keep dominates the skyline, alongside the ruined Black Altar of Bane.
