You had to be there

In some ways, talking to someone about a TTPRG session feels a little like telling them about a dream. There's a sense that, no matter how well you articulate what went down, the overwhelming sensation is to say "you just had to be there."

Ultimately, this is what makes the hobby great. Not just the hobby, though. That crazy night with your friends, the impromptu concert, the street performer, the fleeting romance, the game night. To say "you had to be there" translates, in some way, to "this was something that cannot be reproduced."

And these things that cannot be reproduced - they're what we're here for.
