This longsword has a blade of pale gold steel, its fuller etched with prayers to the dawn. When drawn against undead, it shines with warm sunlight and rings like a distant cathedral bell.
A sealed crypt contains the only undead monarch Dawnshatter has ever failed to shatter.
Dawnshatter was forged from a fallen star for the first crusade against the Hollow King, whose armies rose again each night until this blade ended them permanently.
The blade gives off a faint dawn glow whenever an undead creature is within 60 feet.
GM Notes
- Extra radiant damage applies only against undead.
- Shattering Blow requires a Constitution saving throw after the undead reaches 0 hit points.
- The sword's glow can reveal nearby undead even through darkness, but not through total cover.
