Mrs. Chen's Mystery

Story So Far

The protagonist finds themselves trapped in an alley, discovered by agents conducting a thermal perimeter sweep near a dumpster. Despite attempting to hide and remain still, their body heat and involuntary movements betray their position to a woman wielding a blue-glowing detection device.

As the woman advances with warnings of containment protocol, the protagonist tries to flee but sustains a hip injury, leaving them unable to escape. She physically restrains them, and her device detects an anomalous neural pattern that prompts her superior to order her to cease contact and await a specialized containment team instead of continuing direct engagement.

The protagonist struggles against restraint while the woman monitors them, warning that any further movement will trigger chemical sedation. A male agent arrives to assist, and together they pin the injured subject to the gravel, maintaining control as the specialized team approaches. The agents work in coordinated silence, checking vital signs and reporting the subject's compliance status.

Despite the protagonist's brief attempt to resist by kicking the female agent, the male agent applies increased pressure, pinning them down further. Command denies the agents' request for sedation, ordering them to maintain physical restraint instead. The subject's condition continues to deteriorate, with shallow breathing and numb limbs developing as time passes.

As the containment team's arrival grows imminent, the protagonist's vitals begin stabilizing, though they remain largely unresponsive with blurred vision. When the team finally arrives in the alley, the protagonist attempts to stand and resist once more, but multiple agents quickly move in to restrain them against a diner wall. The female agent reports the subject as non-compliant, and the transfer unit confirms their arrival to take custody of the bound individual.
