Traveller is the classic science fiction RPG first published in 1977, now in its 2nd edition from Mongoose Publishing. Set in a vast interstellar civilization of jump-capable starships, competing noble houses, alien species, and frontier danger, it is the foundational hard sci-fi RPG. Characters are retired spacers, soldiers, scouts, merchants, and rogues who carry careers' worth of skills and scars into play. The universe is enormous, low-magic, and lethal — from the bustling starports of the Third Imperium to airless moons where a bad vacc suit seal ends careers permanently.
